Logo Design for a Record Label
Logo Design for a Record Label
Posted by admin on April 7, 2009 in Logo Design - Comments OffThe aboveĀ Logo Design created for Trademark Records required a strong recognisable symbol. This was achieved through the use of the bright colour scheme which makes up the symbol part of the logo. The bright blue and pink on the white background provide a high amount of contrast to instantly grab the attention of the intended market which was the general public plus individuals and groups within the music industry.
The symbol part of the logo design also features a brush stroke edge to the design to give the record label identity a more artistic feel rather than a clean edged corporate style design which may not have been so appealing to the intended market. Having the rougher edges to the design also helps to communicate an artistic message which visually adds additional meaning to the design.
The logo was created with the intention of being used as a symbol on its own as well as the full version featuring the strong, bold type filled in black against a white backdrop. It was necessary for the type of the record label name to have the clean outlines so that the name would be easy to read when the logo was reproduced at very small sizes which on occasion such as the back of a CD it will need to be.
